 Lucky or Unlucky?
This unlucky bowhunter learned a valuable lesson about hunter safety. Maybe he’s actually lucky because her turned out fine.

I love the swimsuit I ordered! Mossy Oak bikini, too cool!

Spiders and Hunting Don’t Mix!
Read this funny account of Cilla’s hunting adventure and her husband’s run in with a spider! (click here).

I’m so glad I found the Women’s Hunting pants. It is so hard to find good quality hunting clothes that actually fit. Keep up the good work.

White Moose?!

White Moose Spotted Near Marenisco Michigan (da U.P.) For those who do not live in this area, it's just south of Lake Gogebic and just north of the WI border.  This is very rare to see even one albino Moose let alone two and at the same time.

Click on any photo to be taken to the gallery with larger versions of all these shots.

Buckrub102

Unlucky Buck Rub This buck rubbed up the wrong tree.  He apparently got his rack stuck in the tree and died that way. What a photo.

  Big Buck Likes Detroit
This huge buck was hit in a residential area of a Detroit suburb.  There are 14 to 16 points (if you count the little ones) My buddy Joe helped move the deer from one truck to another and he guesses that it weighed somewhere around 250lbs, dressed. He also said that he could not touch his middle finger to his thumb when he wrapped them around the main antler beam right by the head. Just an awesome looking deer. I guess I’m going hunting in Detroit this weekend! -Jeff Bender, Birch Run, MI

Nel on point

Nel loves to hunt!

Dog Wants to Hunt  I have an English Setter, Nel, that loves to hunt pheasant. She is getting up in years and was looking a little tired one morning, so I put her in the front seat of my truck, on her leash with the window open for a little bit for air.  I went back out with the other guys to continue hunting.  A little while later, one of the guys said, “Look at Nel!”  She had somehow gotten herself out through the small opening in the window and was hanging by her leash from the door.  Good thing we saw her.  As soon as I let her down, she took off back into the field to look for birds.  That dog wants to hunt!
This same dog has on more than one occasion climbed the pine tree in our yard after birds.  She gets up about 25 feet! She eventually learned it was a long jump down.

 Death of the Heavyweights
These big bucks had a duel to the death. Their antlers obviously got stuck together and they died together.  They were found like this by an un-named hunter in Michigan.

Don’t Smart Off! A few years ago, I was at a deer camp and stayed up too late playing cards.  The next morning, I threw my stuff together and hurried out alone to hunt. I put on a back pack full of 50 lbs. of sugar beets for a bait pile. I came to a big log that crossed a swampy area.  The log was slippery with dew and I lost my footing and fell in!  The pack was so heavy, that I couldn’t get up and lay there in the wet for some time.
Some other hunters eventually came across the bridge and saw me lying there. “Do you need some help?” they asked.
Me, being a smart mouth said, “No, I always hunt like this.”  The would-be rescuers walked away in disgust.
I eventually got myself up, but I learned never to smart off when you need help.
